Annual grant distribution report of The Canadian Polish Millennium Fund for 2021

TORONTO – November 2021

During 2021 the Millennium Fund distributed $219,289.53 in various categories.

Bursaries for students from various Canadian universities totaled $60,600.00.

Organizations received $38,400; libraries and publishing enterprises received $2,500; schools received $4,800.

The board approved bursaries for applicants (descendants of Home Army veterans) totaling $72,390 from the Zbigniew Czaplinski P.Eng. Fund at the Strategic Charitable Giving Foundation.

The hm. Barbara Glogowska and Mieczyslaw Stitski bursaries for members of the Polish Scouting Association totaled $1,250.

The Orlinski Fund allocated $24,349.53 among four recipients: the Polish Scouting Association in Canada (ZHP pgK), Wawel Villa Seniors Residences, the Institute for Blind Children in Laski, Poland, and bursaries awarded to students of Polish descent enrolled in a professional pilot training program.

The Gregalis Fund allocated $15,000 among four recipients: the Polish Scouting Association in Canada (ZHP pgK), Orlinski Archive and Museum dedicated to Polish soldiers, the Institute for Blind Children in Laski, Poland, and bursaries awarded to the University of Toronto Language Studies program

During 2020 the Millennium Fund distributed $207,800 in various categories.

Bursaries for students from various Canadian universities totaled $88,000.00

Organizations received $36,750; libraries and publishing enterprises received $3,000; schools received $6,800

The board approved bursaries for applicants (descendants of Home Army veterans) totaling $72,000 from the Zbigniew Czaplinski P.Eng. Fund at the Strategic Charitable Giving Foundation.

The hm. Barbara Glogowska and Mieczyslaw Stitski bursaries for members of the Polish Scouting Association totaled $1,250.

In addition, $8,104 from the Orlinski Fund was allocated among four recipients: the Polish Scouting Association in Canada (ZHP pgK), Wawel Villa Seniors Residences, Orlinski Archive and Museum dedicated to Polish soldiers, the Institute for Blind Children in Laski, Poland, and bursaries awarded to students of Polish descent enrolled in a professional pilot training program.
